About Me
My journey began by watching my grandmother tend her garden on a farm in northern Maine.
To this day, it remains an enduring memory that allows me to keep growing my knowledge, just like my plants. This passion translates into a collection of blooms and greenery that can transform even the simplest pot or patch of soil into a haven of beauty. Plants have become our friends, offering a connection to the wonders of nature and a comforting sanctuary. Anyone can cultivate a thriving slice of paradise at home.

What I Do
Gardening lets you work with soil and seeds and the fun is watching a tiny sprout grow. Care and patience will offer a surprise of color and size. Each plant is displaying its own personality. Often times I can have a garden design in mind so then a trip to a greenhouse where plants are grown in abundance allows color, size and texture to be visualized. Placement of plants means knowing their likes of sun or shade or a combination of both. Even plants are choosy so they can be on their best display with the right conditions.

Why I Started
When you grow up spending summers on a farm, gardening is a natural occurrence. The learning becomes a memory that is carried on. Gardening allows creativity to play out as I decide what would be welcoming near my kitchen door or below my shed window. An accent of colors to blend or contrast an existing structure making it comes alive with fragrance and texture. Rain, sun and even wind all bring what is needed to nourish plants. Take time to be with them and teach those around you the joy this can bring.
